bbPress 2015 Survey Results

For the past three years bbPress has conducted an annual survey about usage of their bbPress plugin and this year’s results are here! The aim of the online survey is to obtain information for future versions of the plugin, so it can keep evolving and developing over time.

So, let’s take a look at this year’s results, shall we?

Roughly 200 people from 42 countries took part in the opinion poll that ran between February 18th to April 8th 2015. The online survey, which was created via, included questions in four categories: a) You and bbPress, b) Themes and Plugins, c) Components and Participation, and d) Opinions and Desires.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the results of the survey:

– About 80% of respondents are using the latest versions of bbPress (BP 2.2.1) and WordPress (WP 4.1.1).

– The majority of bbPress users (78%) have the plugin integrated on one to five pages on their website.

– Almost 70% of the BP sites are in English, and about 12% are bilingual.

– The three most requested features include compatibility with the latest version of bbPress, responsiveness, and an easy and fresh design.
