A few weeks ago the WordPress REST API team submitted a request for their project to be merged into the WordPress core. The API, which provides an easy way to externally reach your WordPress data, has certainly earned its place in the WP core , and the API team are hoping for a positive result…as are thousands of WordPress users!
The WordPress REST API is always a hot topic at WordCamps and in the news across blogs and social media. An integration like this could change the future of WordPress and make creating WordPress pages much easier and more efficient – so plenty of us have our fingers crossed that this request is accepted.
