The new WordPress 3.7 Beta is available and ready for testing!
Barely did we have time to take a breath and say the word ‘WordPress’ and news that the new 3.7 Beta is out shoots around the corner.
Only two months after 3.6, 3.7 is here and despite there being very few improvements, it’s still worth getting excited about. Andrew Nacin revealed in the WordPress.org blog on Saturday that they decided to ‘shorten the development cycle and focus on a few key improvements.’
Improvements include :
- Automatic Updates: the introduction of auto-updates is probably the biggest improvement to be added to the release. Only minor releases will be automatically updated, but with major releases, if you install beta 1, your install will automatically update itself to the newest development build. Read more about this on the blog.
- WordPress in another language: WordPress will automatically download any available translations.
- Improved Password Meter
- Search Results: Search results are now ordered by relevance, rather than by date alone.
Test it out through the WordPRess.org blog here.
And remember to report bugs in the Alpha/Beta area in the support forums.
