Just in case you missed it, the WordPress 4.4.2 security and maintenance release is now available and fixes two security issues.
The two issues that have been fixed included a possible SSRF for certain URIs and an open-redirection attack. Besides the two vulnerabilities mentioned, seventeen errors from the two previous versions (4.4 and 4.4.1) have been fixed. All changes and release notes can be found at WordPress.org.
WordPress 4.4.2 is available for download via wordpress.org or your dashboard. Websites that use automatic background updates should already be benefitting from the 4.4.2 update but if you haven’t updated yet, do make the time to do it soon to ensure your site is fully protected.
